CONTEXTE: Bien que l'hépatotoxicité induite par les antibiotiques soit récupérable avec une déficience légère, il a été rapporté que peu d'entre eux étaient responsables de morbidité. Par conséquent, un adjuvant est essentiel pour réduire de tels cas. OBJECTIF: L'objectif de cette étude était d'évaluer l'effet protecteur de l'acide ascorbique sur la toxicité hépatique induite par un antibiotique à l'aide de tranches de foie. MÉTHODE: Des tranches de foie frais prélevées sur du poulet Leghorn ont été incubées avec différentes concentrations de sulfaméthoxazole tétracycline et d'acide clavulanique avec de l'acide ascorbique (200 mug / ml) pendant 2 heures. L'homogénat de foie a été évalué pour des marqueurs tels que les taux d'ALT, d'AST, de MDA et de CAT. L’évaluation de la cytotoxicité a été réalisée à l’aide du test MTT. RÉSULTATS: L'incubation de tranches de foie avec les trois antibiotiques montre des taux élevés d'aminotransférases, d'enzyme MDA et d'enzyme CAT comparés aux groupes de contrôle indiquant le niveau d'hépatotoxicité. En présence d'acide ascorbique, les niveaux élevés de TBARS, ALT et AST ont été considérablement réduits, ce qui met en évidence l'effet protecteur de l'acide ascorbique. Il a également été démontré que le pourcentage de survie de la cellule s’était amélioré lors de l’accès à l’aide du test de viabilité cellulaire. CONCLUSION: Les données obtenues suggèrent que la consommation d'aliments riches en vitamine C ou riches en vitamine C, tels que les agrumes ou les légumes à feuilles vertes, équivalant à 3 g / jour pendant le traitement antibiotique, pourrait peut-être réduire davantage le risque de toxicité hépatique.
