La stabilité du co-précipité Fe (III) -As (V) en présence d’acide ascorbique: Effet du pH et du rapport molaire Fe / As.

Les dangers potentiels d'un co-précipité de Fe (III) -As (V) dans des conditions réductrices sont incomplètement connus. Ce travail a étudié l'effet de la réduction de Fe (III) par l'acide ascorbique (AH2) sur la stabilité du co-précipité Fe (III) -As (V) à différents pH et rapports molaires Fe / As. Les résultats ont montré que As (14-98,9%) et Fe (27,9-99,3%) étaient libérés de manière significative dans la solution par réduction de 79,9-97,5% Fe (III) du co-précipité (rapports molaires Fe / As de 3 et 5). à pH 5-9. Plus de libération d'As a été observée avec l'augmentation du pH (6-9) ou la diminution du rapport molaire Fe / As (de 5 à 3). Cela pourrait être attribué à l'oxalate, le produit final de la décomposition de l'AH2, qui a fortement concurrencé As (V) pour Fe (II) à un pH plus faible ou un rapport molaire Fe / As plus bas, inhibant l'accumulation de parasymplesite et provoquant ensuite une plus grande mobilisation d'As. La stabilité du co-précipité Fe (III) -As (V) avec AH2 lors de la réduction de Fe (III) était inférieure à celle dans un environnement oxique. Par rapport aux oxydes de Fe (II, III) produits en présence d'hydroquinone (QH2), de la humboldtine s'est formée lors des réactions à long terme de Fe (III) -As (V) co-précipitant avec AH2. Les résultats de cette étude impliquent que la parasymplesite et la humboldtine en tant que produits solides secondaires sont pertinentes pour l'environnement et sont principalement responsables de l'immobilisation de As (V) et de Fe (II).
