Une nouvelle méthode économique et respectueuse de l'environnement permettant de détecter l'acide ascorbique (AA) avec une excellente sensibilité a été développée. La méthode tire parti de la diminution de la fluorescence des points quantiques de carbone (CD) lorsque la concentration en AA augmente par suite des interactions entre AA et Ag (I) en présence de germes de nanoparticules d’argent (AgNP), produisant plus de AgNP et permettant un transfert d’énergie de résonance par fluorescence entre les AgNPs et les CD. La variation de l'intensité de la fluorescence après l'ajout de AA était proportionnelle à la concentration en AA dans l'intervalle de 0 à 9,0 µM. La limite de détection des AA était de 0,2 µM. Cette approche est une nouvelle méthode pour déterminer la concentration en AA.
